ICBT Campus launches SQA UK HND programmes

ICBT Campus, launched British SQA programmes for the first time in Sri Lanka in association with the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) which is the national qualifications awarding body of Scotland.

The Scottish education system is world renowned and the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) hails as its very heart, as an awarding body. SQA works with schools, colleges, universities, industry and government to provide high quality, flexible and qualifications relevant to today's increasingly competitive market place. ICBT Campus has been selected as the exclusive partner to offer SQA qualifications in Sri Lanka.

The launching ceremony was held last week at a ceremony in Rajabojun Ceylinco Seylan Towers, Colombo with the participation of ICBT Campus, Chairman Jagath Alwis, SQA CEO Dr Janet Brown, British High Commissioner, Sri Lanka, John Rankin, ICBT CEO/Executive Director Mohan Pathirana, International Development UWIC, Dean Mohamed Louffi, International Office Head, Dr Lisa Davies, UWIC Country Manager - India, Sri Lanka, Oman, Hong Kong and Canada, British Council - Sri Lanka Director Tony Reilly and a large gathering of representatives from industry, schools, private and government sector education providers parents and many prospective SQA students.

ICBT Campus Chairman, Jagath Alwis said, "Since 1999 pioneering private sector higher education in Sri Lanka, ICBT Campus has always been in the forefront in offering high quality education programmes in association with reputed foreign Universities and educational service providers that are much sought after by Sri Lankan students."
